- Lead pharmaceutical science support for Pfizer Pain Therapeutic Discipline from Discovery / pre-clinical stages to First-in-Human (PhaseI) formulation:
* Strong hand-on formulation experience (Oral/Parenteral Drug Delivery) in discovery project and studies design, involving pharmaceutical science, material/physichem knowledge, PKPD and simulation techniques to help selection of new clinical candidates
* Strong interaction with Material Sciences for early solid form characterization and selection
* Influence product concept of new compound entities to deliver targeted therapeutic and safety margins using fit-for-purpose formulation strategies and/or enabling device
* Formulation development for regulatory toxicokinetic & GLP safety pharmacology studies
* Development and utilisation of novel technologies to improve the solubility/dissolution rate absorption, and bioavailability of poorly soluble drugs (Spray-Dried Dispersions, Nanotechnologies, SEDDS/SMEDDS formulations, amorphous technologies)
* Writing of regulatory documents in support of Phase I studies and strong interaction with Pfizer Clinical Units
