- Preparation of technical notes for the qualification of turnout components, with the intent of using turnouts from suppliers that were not used in previous french railway systems to adapt to the design criteria's of the project. The research intended to avoid the long process of tests and certification of new components (turnouts) on the new French metro system of Paris (Grand Paris Express) by comparing existing french turnouts already certified on existing systems (tested and validated for operations and maintenance) but that cannot be used due to design criterias of the system. The selected turnouts had to be proven globally similar to existing ones on the French railways and as secure.
- With the help of suppliers’ expertise, preparation of the qualification method for turnouts and components according to European norms (EN), research on geometry and components such as concrete bearers, switch point, guardrails, frog (mobile or fixed point), stock rails, welding of components, wheel/rail interaction, actuation/locking/control, steel type, fasteners and rails.
- Defined if the turnouts that can be used have to be considered as similar but modified versions of existing turnouts on the French railway system, in order to avoid classifying these turnouts as new non-certified turnouts on the French system. Defined what is a substantial modification of a turnout or a component and if that modification has an impact on security.
- Adapting the project safety files and requirements for the turnouts and their components,
- Preparation of technical notes regarding track and train/car weight scale systems and devices to stop runaway trains.
- Use of AUTOCAD to represent the nominal dynamic clearance of cars for the future maintenance centers,
- Design of concrete bumping posts,

3. Kerail project cost and scheduling engineer (2013-2014):
- Project planning, cost management, and tracking invoices for client’s capital expenses
- Preparation of engineering change orders, weekly and monthly quality and progress reports,
- Quality control to ensure that rails, ties and clips were properly installed as per the specifications, and follow-up of quantities.
- Follow-up and acceptance/refusal of contractor claims as contract administrator
- Preparation of tender documents
Participated on an EPCM project in Schefferville for LIM (Labrador Iron Mines), Genesee & Wyoming and Tata Steel, responsible of scheduling and invoices/costs management on the project. Also worked with contractors for coordination of manpower in order to secure rooms and boarding. Prepared reports regarding the project advancement and quality/progression reports, the baseline schedule and project advancement schedules. The project was about constructing a new railway line connecting the DSO Timmins Mine of Tata Steel to the train yard of LIM. I was managing the client budget, and also doing some quality inspections for the civil work and track work. Quantities site validation. Assisted the project manager on various assignments.
I got assigned back to the TATA Steel and Genesee & Wyorming project in 2014. Heavy winter conditions with snow removal operations and frost ripping, drainage control due to snow melting and field adjustments. Helped prepare signalisation for the crossings in the field, assisting the contractors
