1) Mise en place et développement de la zône de santé (formation de comités de santé, d'infirmiers et constructions de centres santé et annexes situées au centre des aires de santé).Chaque zône de santé est constitué de plusieurs aires de santé au sein desquelles se trouvent des batiments, des annexes, du matériel,des activités.

2) Pratique des différentes disciplines médicales et gestion de l'hopital de santé.

3) Recyclage des infirmiers des aires de santé pour introduire de nouvelles activités permettant de décentraliser de l'hopital différents services apportés à la population : soins de santé primaire, dépistage prénatal, accouchement, traitement de la Tbc,.....

3) Création d'une école d'infirmiè(res) et enseignement du français médical, pathologie médicale,anatomie.



Financement et suivi des différentes activités par OXFAM et par des bienfaiteurs hollandais.

1) Participation at concertation meetings between professional organisations and Interministerial Commissioner influenza.

2) Participation to various websites (FluTrackers, Zone grippe aviaire, Effect Measure, etc.) by posting my own publications, commenting, and social networking through social medias (keeping in touch with individuals and maintaining a presence).

3) Creation and regular edition of personal blogs ( http://drmsfvermeulen.skynetblogs.be ; http://drmsfvermeulen.over-blog.com )

4) Publication of articles and interviews with other bird flu specialists in several written and electronic press (in Belgium and France).



MY GOALS

1) Participation in testing the realism - and revision - of pandemic response plans.

2) Incitation and training of pandemic intervention teams and leaders.

3) Participation in analysis of communication strategies to the population (before, during and after a pandemic).

4) Participation in concrete solving of social and economic problems, both at national and international levels.

MY ASSETS
At the present times

1) Concrete approaches to problems regarding operational public health plans; capacity of coming up with viable solutions to social and economic consequences of pandemic influenza, with an emphasis on communications, empowerment of individuals and training the civil society to face a pandemic.

2) My relationships with several opinion leaders and individuals working via Web 2.0, who are using social medias in a concrete way to help increase translation of awareness and knowledge of the population into actual behavior changes.

3) My networks in the political spheres of Belgium and France.
