• Charlemagne Orchestra for Europe - Member of the Board of Directors, Past President

  2005 - maintenant Under the baton of Founding Music Director, Bartholomeus-Henri Van de Velde, the Brussels based orchestra of musicians from 27 countries offers audiences provocative and less-known works from the Classical, Romantic and Contemporary orchestral repertoire.
  The Charlemagne Orchestra presented its first subscription season in 2000 at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels to an audience of 40. In the following 9 years the Orchestra has developed a large and devoted following, to the point that their number has outgrown the beautiful Conservatory Hall. They begin their 10th season of subscription concerts at the Flagey Studio 4 and with, new this year, an expanded season of a public concert at the Palais des Beaux-Arts!
  They have been heard regularly in the renowned Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and throughout Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. Henceforth the orchestra has taken an apt new name: Charlemagne Orchestra for Europe.
