I was part of the Project team overseeing the build, commissioning, and performance testing of the Ice Breaking Emergency Evacuation Vessels for the Kashagan oilfield in the North Caspian Sea (Kazakhstan).
Preparation Operating and Maintenance policies and procedures to a level that ensures that these Safety Critical Vessels remain available for emergency response duties at all times.
To verify that relevant Class and Flag State requirements are met and to ensure that all Permits and consents are available to allow placing these vessels into operational service on delivery to the Offshore assets
Ensuring that vessels is maintained in a state of readiness and where any issues effecting the readiness of the vessel to perform its functions are reported to the Offshore Installation Manager immediately.
During my last year in the team, I did participate actively at the Ice trials in order to demonstrate the capabilities of the IBEEVs to act as a primary escape during winter.
My principal achievement during this period was to show to the Senior management the capabilities of the vessel to bring to a safe rendez-vous her 340 passengers through ice.
After this period, I was transfered permanently Offshore in order to
Operate and Optimise, in continuous cooperation with: the OIM, Drilling Supt, drilling teams, adjacent rigs/ LQ operations, Bautino Marine Base and the Atyrau District Logistics, the use of the marine assets and supply of material, equipment and personnel transport to/from the offshore installation and the logistics bases.

Ensuring the integrity of the Emergency Evacuation Resources, including a monitoring role of all assigned vessels such as LQ’s. IBEEV’s, TR barges etc through each vessel Master.
Providing coordination and granting access permissions within the nominated North Caspian and Kashagan field area for vessel operations for which he will be reporting to the OIM within his area of responsibility and to the Marine Logistics Manager outside of the OIM responsibility for functional reporting
Applying risk assessment standards and processes to all activities
Providing the marine operations planning, monitoring and reporting, including input into SIMOPS planning work activities, monitoring and advising.
Providing marine operations feedback analysis and implementation of the Continual Improvement Process.
Ensuring compliance to safety and safe executions of marine support to operations
Support ER, Environmental and Waste Management and Segregation.
To investigate as team leader (for Marine) or assist Operations Team in all aspects of incident reporting.
My achievement after 3 weeks in this new function was the preparation and performance of the move of one of the Living Quarter from her resting position to her new position with all the passengers on board in order to minimize the disturbance to the drilling activities.
Actually I do coordinate the logistic for the rig-down, rig up of one of our installation
