• Marché Gourmet du Sablon - Organisator

  2013 - maintenant At the initiative of the non-profit organization « Commune Libre du Sablon », under the patronage of the city of Brussels, and the municipal councillor of Trade Marion Lemesre, a new market is taking place since November 2013 in front of the Church of the Sablon. It is organized every Thursday from 3 pm until 9 pm.
  The market aims at promoting values such as short-circuit distribution, making consumers sensitive to high-quality and healthy food and defending home-made transformation and production methods.
  
  The goal is to propose and sell high-quality products but also to create a friendly atmosphere where people can meet and exchange in the heart of the city : answer the needs of the residents, encourage commuters to stay in the city after work and add yet another tourist spot in this hotspot.
  
  More or less 20 stallholders propose a variety of different products amongst which : vegetables, fruit, dairy products, wine, champaign, truffles, cooked meats, honey, dried fruit, fish, biscuits…
  
  There is a separate savouring spot in the centre of the market where you have a very good overview of the different products on the market, as well as a beautiful view on the Sablon. The tents of the stallholders all look similar in order to give balance to the market and make it a nice, enjoyable space.
  
  Don’t hesitate to come and have a drink, taste delicious products or purchase high-quality food before going home to cook.
