Architect and Dr. Eng. Architecture, graduated from the University of Tokyo (JP), I am a co-founder of Hic et nunC ( http://www.hic-et-nunc.eu ), with today activities are focus on light and color in architecture. Senior lecturer at the Faculté Polytechnique de Mons (FPMs - BE), Associate Professor at the Institut Supérieur d'Architecture St-Luc Brussels (ISASLB - BE), in the Graduate Thematic School "architecture, urban planning, architectural and urban engineering" [École doctorale thématique « Architecture, urbanisme, ingénierie architecturale et urbaine »], as well as in the Complementary Master in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Properties [Master complémentaire conjoint en conservation-restauration du Patrimoine culturel immobilier], I teach courses and conduct researches about human factors and built environment, especially in relation to the lighting and color design.

From the academic year 2008-2009, the courses Light and Built Environment and Color and Built Environment, taught by J-L Capron, are offered to students of the newly created Graduate Thematic School "architecture, urban planning, architectural and urban engineering", within the module Methodological Foundations in Architecture and Urbanism.

As part of the Complementary Master in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Properties [Master complémentaire conjoint en conservation-restauration du Patrimoine culturel immobilier], established under the leadership of the Walloon Heritage Institute [ Institut du Patrimoine wallon] (Centre des métiers du Patrimoine de la Paix-Dieu), Jean-Luc Capron taeaches the courses about, natural and artificial, lighting and illumination of the built heritage, from both historical and practice point of view.
