2007 - 2008Based in Amsterdam, I defined new services on GPS devices and smart phones worldwide:
- Drive the P&L of content and services on www.tomtom.com and on TomTom HOME
- Supervised negotiation of partnerships with content suppliers
- Launched online subscription Map Update Service in over 20 countries
- Defined and launched in 5 countries LIVE (connected) services bundle (HD Traffic, Google local search, Safety alerts, Fuel prices…)
- Defined 2008-2009 service roadmap
2006 - 2007I was in charge of developing SFR's WiFi business and then both its WiFi / WiMax business
Based in Paris, I run the commercial operation of SFR’s WiFi and WiMax business:
- Defined WiMax positioning, coverage, product portfolio and offering
- Defined municipal WiFi strategy, investment plan and partnerships
- Won key public RFPs from the cities of Paris, Nantes and Metz
2004 - 2006Based in Paris, I started up SFR's WiFi business and made it the no. 2 WiFi operator in France, with 400 hotspots and access to 80,000 hotspots worldwide.
- Defined marketing and communication plan and launched new services in conjunction with Vodafone
- Defined tariffing strategy, e.g. Europe’s first GPRS/3G/WiFi bundled subscriptions and 9434 (WIFI) payment system
- Created and supervised sales team (300 contracts signed)
- Negotiated roaming partnerships with 10 operators (Orange, Sprint, etc.)
2000 - 2003Based in Paris, I defined and implemented SFR’s mobile multimedia strategy, and in particular the transition towards mobile internet services.
- Supervised 3G launch strategy, in conjunction with Vodafone
- Co-ordinated cross-functional multimedia program (100 staff)
- Implemented a global overhaul of multimedia customer experience
- Co-ordinated launch of multimedia services (MMS, games, etc.) in shops, on the web and in customer care
- Defined optimal handset migration path from 2G to 3G
- Defined 2G/3G network coverage specifications
- Organized SFR 3G licence bid, ranked first by regulator
1997 - 2000Business Analyst, promoted to Consultant and then Senior Consultant, in the Corporate Finance / Technology practices
Based in London, I assisted operators, ISPs, equipment vendors and financiers in their strategy:
- Defined launch and development strategic and marketing plans
- Developed multiple mobile operator business plans including the building of complex internet and network models
- Undertook the pre-financing or pre-acquisition commercial due diligence of several companies
- Managed 8 consulting assignments
1995 - 1997Based in New York, I advised clients across a broad range of industries, from industrial furnaces to cosmetics
- Identified US acquisition targets and buyers
- Carried out financial analysis and structured finance
