Evan O'Connell

Born in New York to American parents, I lived in London for twelve years, and later also lived in Dublin, Ghent and Brussels (where I graduated from secondary school). I majored in Central and Eastern European Studies at Sciences Po in Paris, spending a year abroad at Charles University in Prague between 2007 and 2008. I went on to study Finance at Sciences Po in Paris, graduating with a Master's degree in 2010.
I recently interned with Rep. Joe Sestak (PA-07) in Washington, DC. Prior to this, I worked in public affairs consulting, public relations and journalism. I moved to London in August, 2010, to begin work as a PR consultant at Aspect Consulting, a communication management consultancy. In February 2010, I was transferred to Aspect's Brussels office.

2010 - 2010Legislative and policy research (mainly domestic policy – health, education, immigration, economic and budgetary policy, appropriations).
Work on drafting and submitting appropriations requests.
Attending and summarizing policy briefings and committee hearings for the Congressman.
Constituent correspondence (phone, e-mail, fax, mail) on a wide range of policy-related issues.
